Returns

sealgaps.com is used to sell tutorials, which are digital products. If the tutorials are offered as downloadable products, then they cannot be returned. If there are several lessons in the tutorial, instructors can use content dripping to track the progress of students. In this case, they may allow students to abandon unfinished tutorials as a form of return. Therefore, it is up to instructors to accept or reject returns for their tutorials.

Refunds to Students

Daapia Empire does not sell to students. All tutorials on sealgaps.com are provided and sold by instructors. However, we will facilitate refunds to students. an instructor must refund a tutorial if it is proven to be not as described. The process of determining whether the tutorial is as described will be at the discretion of Daapia Empire. Instructors may offer refunds for other reasons. Where refund conditions are not explicitly outlined in this policy, instructors should endeavor to provide their own refund conditions. Students should check the specific instructor’s refund policy for the particular tutorial. Students cannot request for refund for a free tutorial. Students will have seven (7) days from the date of to request for a refund. Instructors cannot set a refund period shorter than seven days.

Procedure for requesting for a refund

All refund requests should be directed to Daapia Empire (contact us) with supporting evidence. Daapia Empire will investigate and make a determination on the matter. A refund will be issued to the student if their request is found to be valid. For non-downloadable tutorials, the student is not allowed to continue with the tutorial after the a refund request has been lodged. A refund request may be invalidated if a student continues to progress in a tutorial after lodging a refund request.

Instructor’s liability in a refund

Instructors bear the responsibility of all refunds for their courses. Students will be able to ask for a refund if the tutorial is not as described. It is the instructor’s duty to ensure that tutorial descriptions are accurate.

If a student has to be refunded a tutorial, the instructor pays a penalty of 1.95% of the order value. This is to cover payment processing fees. The penalty value will be deducted from any subsequent withdrawal by the seller. You want to do well to resolve issues with your customers so that they do not escalate to the point of refund. Note that customers’ orders will be refunded only when the instructor is found to be at fault in a dispute.

Refunds to instructors

Daapia Empire collects commissions and fees from instructors who sell their tutorials on sealgaps.com. Membership fees may be collected before instructors can sell their tutorials on sealgaps.com. Commissions may be collected when instructors sell their tutorials on sealgaps.com. Other fees are collected to cater for withdrawal charges. These commissions and fees are non-refundable.
